Disney Store's 12" Snow White Doll & Accessory Set

I finally got my hands on a Snow White doll!

I decided just to get the Disney Store's 12" Snow White. I don't really like her dress, so I bought her accessory set, too - not to mention the deal I got (they were on sale for $10 each, and on top of that I had a 20% off coupon, which gave me a final total of $16.40). Well, I was in a hurry to get her open, so no in-box photos! ;) Sorry! I also skipped the glitter dress pictures. LOL. I can't stand glitter shedding all over me. The skirt was the worst; the top actually wasn't that bad.

Anyway. On to what I DID get photographed...

Snow White came with her princess gown, headband and yellow heels. The accessory set included two dresses, a veil, hair brush, and two of her Dwarf friends - Dopey and Happy.

The dress seems to be durable, my only problem with it is the glitter - she actually has glitter on her legs that I can NOT get off. Bah. Her headband is removable and has an elastic to hold in place, but it and some hair is sewed into place; easily snipped, but I'm afraid her hair will fall if I do, so for now it hasn't been removed.

Her rags dress I love. It's so adorable! I think I love it so much because she almost looks even lovelier in it than her princess gown (speaking in terms of her movie, not just this doll and her outfits). It just shows how she really is "the fairest of them all".

The one thing I really wish they had included in the accessory pack would be extra shoes; the doll comes with yellow heels, but they don't match her rags or wedding gown! =/ So for now she'll be going barefoot.

Snow White isn't quite sure how she's supposed to brush her hair with that! Her hair actually looks like it wouldn't take any brushing well; I think it'd make a better mirror, lol! But hey, all the other princesses got brushes lol. Dopey and Happy are cute but not to scale; they look like they'd fit into a figure set just fine. I looked online and actually, it looks like Dopey is the exact same mold as in the Snow White figure set, just with a little plot of grass added! Kids probably wouldn't have a problem with either the scale or putting them into another little world of their toys, so this doesn't bother me. In fact, Nicki discovered she can hold them perfectly in her little hands and have deemed them her own. ;)

Snow White's heels look an awful lot like my Rapunzel's heels - next time Rapunzel ventures out of her display box, I'll compare them and see if they are indeed the same mold or not. I don't think so, but they are at least very similar. They stay on very well, they don't slip off super easily like some shoes might.

Her wedding dress is horrible quality. I had the hardest time getting it on (okay, that may partially be because of her jointed wrists that move on me, but I didn't have near the trouble putting her into her rags), and once I did, all those threads were at her shoulder. I snipped them with no problem, but I do wonder how long this gown would last in the hands of a five year old. Her velcro has already partially detached from the dress as well. Mind you she's been in this gown ONCE, for these photos - ten minutes tops.

The veil is, um, a veil. Seems alright to me I guess! It has a little velcro where it goes behind her neck.

I did find though, this outfit made her blush appear even more so. I thought that was quite appropriate. I do adore the style; empire waist is gorgeous and fits Snow White SO well. It's so adorable. She may spend some time in it during wedding season next year! I do love weddings!

And following is just a bunch of pretty pictures... she's a very lovely doll. She's perfect, really; I feel her makeup is just right - her lips like blood, and her "eyeshadow" is how I often do my own eyeshadow (when I get around to wearing it, anyway), so I'm good with it! (: I love her expression too. When you tilt her head she looks like she could be singing her dreams out, but I don't think she'd look odd or spaced-out if you were trying to get her to look at another doll.

"And away to his castle we'll go - to be happy, forever, I know..."
Now hopefully I won't regret not getting her Prince! ;)

25% Off Cecile & Marie-Grace's Collection at American Girl

Automatically taken at check out - both online and in store.
I find unless you're spending a lot of money, if you're buying online the discount basically just covers shipping - but if you're not near an AG store (such as myself), that can be helpful anyway!

I'm thinking about getting little anniversary Cecile now... she's such a cutie! I did a mock order and it would cost me just under the original $22 - so again, basically free shipping.

I did a mock order of my "dream list" for this collection, and the savings would knock about $60 off of it. (My list includes Cecile, mini Cecile, one outfit, the chemise & crinoline, gold boots, and the accessories for both girls.) Shipping would be $20 so that knocks it down to $40. Still nice, but nothing I find worthy of freaking out over - except that AG never discounts actual dolls!

The offer goes through the 13th of November. (:
